Clearly, the real question here is why not?
I wish my brother was old enough to e-mail, let alone e-mail obscenities. You ungrateful jerk. One day...
Just so you know, I did open that in the "Family Resource Room" in the Johns Hopkins cancer building. Now I'm being shunned by the other caregivers.
Maybe your brother was just really distracted at work and didn't think that sending you this picture would cause any harm. Maybe he thought that you would think it is funny. It is kind of funny - this old man, he kind of looks like the "I want You for the United States Army" Uncle Sam guy but he is saying this sort of vile thing, It also kind of looks like those old Soviet propaganda posters that say "Don't spread gossip" or something like that, but again, he is saying this vile thing . . . the "C" word and all. It is kind of funny when you think about it. Maybe your brother didn't see it as a directive towards you or anything, but just thought that you would appreciate the stand-alone value of the picture. I don't know. Maybe your brother is frustrated at work and has begun the weird habit of writing what he is feeling at that particular moment (e.g. "I hate my job" or "I am so bored") in the Google Image search bar just to see what comes up. Who knows. You never know what someone is thinking.
